Plano Balloon Festival

I will split this up into several posts since I am so far behind! A few weeks ago, after a full day of soccer, we went to the Plano Balloon festival. The girls had a great time running around and seeing all of the balloons. The fireworks started a little late, and the girls were getting pretty tired, but when they finally started, they loved it. Ava did climb into my lap and hide her face, but no tears which was a HUGE improvement over 4th of July. She wouldn't even stay outside for the 4th. Once the fireworks were over, we headed back to the car to go home. Anna and McKenna were asleep before we got out of the parking lot, Ava stayed awake the entire ride home. That girl won't fall asleep in the car, ever!

Soccer is in full swing and the Little Ponies and the Pixies are having great seasons. Anna is playing on a bigger field with bigger goals and 5 on 5. They are trying to learn actual positions, but still no offical goalie. They are playing a girl back to protect the goal, so the scores are a lot lower this season. Anna is loving her new team, and is working on some new skills. The Pixies still play 4 on 4 and McKenna is a very strong player, scoring several goals a game. We are trying to work on passing to help her improve on skills other than scoring, but she does love to score! I am really enjoying coaching, even if my blood pressure spikes during the games because the girls don't listen :) I have to remember that they are only 4 and this is just a game - I guess I am still a little competitive...
