As always, I am a little behind in updating the blog, but here are the highlights from Anna's 6th birthday.
First the stats from her checkup:
Weight: 41.4 lbs - 25%
Height 43 3/4 - 25%
No shots and the only recommendation was to drink more milk - that has been a recommendation since birth, so we are used to it!

Anna had a pool party at grandma and grandpa Clerkin's house (THANK YOU!!!). There were 14 kids there - 13 girls and one lone boy - Austin was in heaven :) We also had the 'Usual Suspects' on the adult side - Grandma and Grandpa C., Grandma F., Uncle Brian, Aunt Jenny, Mitch, Sitto and Jiddo, Fred and Georgette, Susan and her MIL Terry, Marguerite and Justin, as well as some of the kids parents. The kids had a great time swimming, eating, swinging on the big swing (you can only fit about 8 kids on that swing before someone falls off. Lucky for us it was McKenna instead of one of the guests, and she was fine after a cupcake!)

Austin - doesn't look too upset being the only little boy!
She had a great birthday and we had a great time too.
It seems like we are already counting down the days until school starts. Anna and I went and bought her backpack and lunch box for school. This was a big decision for her. We must have stayed in Target for 30 minutes talking about each backpack and then taking it over to the lunch boxes to see if anything matched. She is happy with her final decision and she also has her jewelry picked out for the first day of school - She got an adorable bottlecap necklace from Maddie and Abbie for her birthday that allows you to switch out the bottlecap. She has an 'A' and 'First Grade Rocks', but she hasn't decided which one she is going to wear the first day yet.
I am going out of town next week for work, so Patrick is playing Mr. Mom! Lucky for us, we have so much family around, so my mom is taking the big girls one night and then - Uncle Rich, Maggie and Tommy are coming to town! The girls are so excited to see their cousins from 'Carolina'. Aunt Rhonda wasn't able to make it down, but I am sure we will send some hugs and forever kisses back for her. Uncle Mike is coming in to see everyone as well, so we will have lots of family here for a little bit. Nicole will also be getting some forever kisses sent back for her.
What is a forever kiss you ask? This is our newest fad - this is a kiss or a hug that you can never wash off. Every night we give and get forever kisses and hugs and we have to make sure they are still there later on - pretty adorable, huh?
I will try and update more quickly with pictures from the cousins' visit since Rhonda has already gotten on me for being so late on the birthday :)
